The Rocketeers grabbed a win, 3-2, at Beyond the Wall, overcoming a fine effort from Buffalo pitcher Volmer Aalbers. Aalbers went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The losing streak for Buffalo has now reached 4 games.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Étienne Duchesne to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau.
