Dayton center fielder Will Nolan had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-7, to Panama City in 12 innings. Nolan went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Panama City reliever Jorge Marroquín picked up the win to move to 3-0. Steve King suffered the loss. The Piranhas now own a record of 32-34.

Panama City took the lead, 8-7, on Oscar Worthy's 19th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Dayton pitcher Steve King in the top of the 12th.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Dayton manager David Dodds. "But we decided not to take it."
