Led by Rich Lee, the Charleston Battery downed the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 6-3. Lee was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Battery. Wesley Perkins notched his 10th save in 14 chances. With the victory, the Battery record stands at 34-32.
With Charleston leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Lee batted against Cape Coral pitcher Diego Pounds. Lee hit a changeup to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Battery on top, 4-0.
Lee called the win "a collective effort."
