St. Louis and Cape Coral duked it out and the Coeur came out victorious.

Cape Coral wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Harry Marshall, falling to the St. Louis Coeur, 4-3. Marshall threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Jon Curtis notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 2-5.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Wayne Summers? The 26-year old left fielder Summers stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put St. Louis up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We put together a nice win," Summers said.

The Coeur now have a mark of 33-34.
