Buchanan Leads Boston to 1-0 Win
Boston got an elite performance from starting pitcher Eric Buchanan in securing a 1-0 decision over the Toronto Thunder. The Patriots saw their win-loss record go to 34-31. At the same time, the Thunder fell to 38-27.

Buchanan ran roughshod over the Toronto lineup. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. With the victory, he goes to 6-5 on the season.

"Eric was pumping the zone," said Boston manager Brian Fahie.
