Win Goes to White Walkers in Tight Contest
|
The Buffalo White Walkers beat the Long Island Lighthouse, 4-1, at The Lighthouse. Starting pitcher Mario Gonzáles was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Buffalo reliever Johnny Flannery picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Thomas Rice was saddled with the loss. Buffalo now owns a record of 38-27.
Kyung-chul Son came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Son.
