For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.

The Buckhead Bowties racked up a win at 5 Paces Park, bumping off the Kingston Ponies, 5-4. Uhi Ahipene, who started for Buckhead, pitched effectively for his team. Ed House picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Sam van Elswijk suffered the loss.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 31-year old first baseman Saul Goodman had a real shot to win the game. Kingston pitcher Mark Horton was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Goodman hit a run-scoring single. The Bowties had a walk-off triumph.

"Nervous? No," said Goodman. "It was my time to shine."

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Buckhead.
