Dirty Reds Earn 3-2 Win Versus Battery
The Charleston Battery could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Pham Phung into a win. Instead, the Dayton Dirty Reds prevailed, 3-2, in 13 innings. Phung threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Dayton reliever Bhagavan Antle picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Jeremiah Cole was saddled with the loss. The Dirty Reds own a robust 47-24 mark.

Dayton used a timely hit from Vasan Parthiban to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Dayton manager David Dodds.
