The 6-3 Vancouver win over D.C. was due largely to Matt George. The Grey Wolves catcher was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dionísio Zagallo got credit for the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Vancouver is 43-28 and D.C., with the loss, 37-34.

Vancouver took a 5-3 lead on George's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Gregory Collins in the top of the sixth, propelled Vancouver to the win.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," George told the Vancouver Observer.
