The Cape Coral Hurricanes defeated the Echo Park Lakers, 3-1, at Factory of Sadness. Leading the charge for Cape Coral was third baseman Alex Thomas. He was 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jorge Ortíz wrapped it up, recording his 9th save. The Hurricanes go to 32-40, putting them 9th in the Third League.

Cape Coral took the lead on Thomas's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Will Turner in the bottom of the eighth, made the score 3-1, Cape Coral.
