Shredders Beat Patriots, 6-5
|
The Hollywood Shredders downed the Boston Patriots, 6-5, at The Hollywood Bowl. Les Moore led the way, going 4-for-4 for Hollywood. Roy Huntingford, the winner, improved to 4-6. He held the Patriots to 5 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Skip Lewis earned the save for Hollywood.
In the bottom of the third, Moore had a 2-run triple for Hollywood. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Shredders on top, 5-4.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Moore.
The last-place Shredders improved to 26-39.
