The Nova Scotia Leviathan trumped the Kingston Ponies, 6-5, at Megaffin Park. Nova Scotia third baseman Chun-yeong Pyon was terrific. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The winning pitcher was Dan Cortés. He's now 3-8. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Leviathan. The win has Nova Scotia at 22-51.

Nova Scotia used a well-timed hit by Stan Bynings to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Leviathan ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Bynings told a Nova Scotia News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
