Northern Lions BC Best Dirty Reds, 4-2

Thunder Bay pitcher Luke Riley did his part in helping his team beat the Dayton Dirty Reds, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Riley picked up the win for Thunder Bay, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-6. Chad Edwards sewed up the save, his 2nd.
Nikolaj Molnar had a big 2-run double for the Northern Lions BC in the bottom of the third inning. With Thunder Bay leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from Ioachime Yakutin, who is tied for 8th in the 3L with a 1.12 WHIP, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 3-0.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Riley.
The 10th-place Northern Lions BC improved to 32-42.
