The Kingston Ponies had to overcome a big game from Nova Scotia catcher Stan Bynings to leave Megaffin Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-4. Bynings was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. Kingston reliever Jim Smith got the win, raising his record to 3-4. Ernesto Valdéz was tagged with the loss. Fred Hull picked up his 14th save of the season.

In the bottom of the second inning, catcher Júlio Gil had a 2-run double for Kingston. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Ponies on top, 2-0.

Kingston manager Rayzor Ray praised his team's "businesslike approach."
