Divided Get Dramatic 6-5 Triumph
Though he had a stellar game, Raúl Vega could not prevent his team, the Oakland Oaks, from losing, 6-5, to the D.C. Divided. Vega was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Chris Edwards in relief, making him now 2-1. Fernando Fonseca took the loss for Oakland. With the victory, the Divided record stands at 39-36.

The Divided were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 28-year old center fielder Jon Moore landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch fastball from Fernando Fonseca into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Washington Stadium denizens into a frenzy and sent the Divided home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"This place was electric at the end," Moore said.
