Oaks Stumble, Lose to Leviathan
The Nova Scotia Leviathan defeated the Oakland Oaks, 8-4. Catcher Stan Bynings deserved a large share of the credit. Bynings went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Leviathan. The winner was Chris Murton, who threw 107 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits. Huibert Illidge recorded the save for Nova Scotia, his 2nd of the season.
