The St. Louis Coeur powered past the Long Island Lighthouse, 11-3, at The Lighthouse. Wayne Summers went 3 for 6 with 3 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. George Law picked up the save for St. Louis, his 6th of the year. St. Louis goes to 37-40, Long Island to 37-40.

With St. Louis leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh, Summers batted against Long Island pitcher Aarre Rissanen. Summers hit a cutter to center for a 2-run double. His 17th double of the season put the Coeur on top, 5-2.
