Hurricanes Suffer 7-4 Setback
|
Though he had a terrific game, Tracy Copeland could not prevent his team, the Cape Coral Hurricanes, from absorbing a loss. Vancouver won the game, 7-4. Copeland went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ray Stevenson picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 4-5. The Grey Wolves have an impressive 47-30 record.
Steef Advocaat, who is tied for 10th in the 3L in runs scored with 47, chipped in a 2-run home run for Vancouver in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
