Hurricanes Suffer 12-2 Drubbing
Led by Yoon-tae Ch'ae, the Vancouver Grey Wolves downed the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 12-2. Ch'ae went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3 for the Grey Wolves. Vancouver pitcher Pat Butler got the win, upping his record to 12-1. Bob Smithley got the loss. Vancouver now owns a record of 48-30.

Helping the Vancouver cause was Iván Garza. In the bottom of the fourth, the 28-year old left fielder had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch to make the score 2-0, Grey Wolves.

Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing called the blowout loss "not what we wanted."
