Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Charleston Battery.
The Vancouver Grey Wolves topped the Charleston Battery, 6-1, in Menard's Third League action at Charleston Armory. The game was highlighted by the performance of Vancouver designated hitter Matt Turner. The win elevated the Grey Wolves to 49-33.
Vancouver took a 6-1 lead on Turner's 3rd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Noboru Kokawa in the top of the seventh, propelled Vancouver to the win.
Said losing manager Matt Hunt: "Give the Grey Wolves credit. They played a better game than we did."
