Patriots Beaten By Shredders, 3-1
|
Hollywood Shredders starter Roy Huntingford hurled his team past the Boston Patriots, 3-1. Huntingford, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. Mark Sims was credited with the save for Hollywood, his 2nd of the season.
Stanley Johnston cracked a home run off Eric Buchanan in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Shredders on top, 2-0. In all, Johnston had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We had a good game plan," Huntingford said, "and we were able to execute it."
The loss makes Boston 4-3.
