The Oakland Oaks firmly defeated the Buckhead Bowties, 16-4, at 5 Paces Park. The Oakland offense was lit. Hsueh-liang Kam, for one, had a solid game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Oaks. Oakland is now 44-40, Buckhead 39-45.

Had Paul Hughes not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Hughes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Oaks.
