The Thunder earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 10 innings at Pacesetter Park. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Toledo pitcher Jacobim Mugatu. Mugatu went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The first-place Thunder have won 5 in a row.

Toronto used the timely hitting of Jim McDavid to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Thunder on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Toronto manager Jordan Smith.
