Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids starter Dustin Howard turned in a top-notch performance against the Seattle Rocketeers at Boeing Dome. The result was a win for the Rainbow Mermaids, 8-2. Northern Virginia, at 42-25, is 2 games up in the Premier League.
In the top of the sixth, Northern Virginia shortstop António García had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, García stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, Northern Virginia. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
