In a low-scoring affair between the Cape Coral Hurricanes and the D.C. Divided, pitcher William Morris was the difference between victory and defeat. The Cape Coral right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Hurricanes win. Morris got the win, improving to 8-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 5 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Erich Alfaro earned his 5th save in 6 chances.

Miguel Ayaly drove in one run for Cape Coral. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Ayaly had a clutch at-bat. Facing D.C. hurler Gregory Collins, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Hurricanes a 3-2 lead.

"William was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing.
