Dirty Reds Fizzle in 5-0 Loss to Ponies
|
In an excellent mound performance, Edward Small of the Kingston Ponies blanked the Dayton Dirty Reds, 5-0, on a 5-hitter.
"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.
In all, the Kingston hurler rang up 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout win.
"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Dirty Reds manager David Dodds. "Small did a good job keeping us guessing."
To date this season, Small has compiled a 1-10 record with a 4.80 ERA in 18 starts.
