Though the conditions were not ideal, the Vancouver Grey Wolves and St. Louis Coeur came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Gerben Pauw was instrumental in his team's 6-2 triumph over the St. Louis Coeur. The first baseman was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Vancouver Grey Wolves. Juan Hernández was the winner. He's now 9-6. The loser was 33-year old right-handed pitcher David Hudson.

Vancouver took a 6-2 lead on Yoon-tae Ch'ae's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Ch'ae hit in the top of the seventh, left St. Louis pitcher Lander Vardoulakis visibly frustrated.

Ch'ae attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."

The Grey Wolves are now 53-34, while the Coeur fall to 41-46.
