Rodríguez Swings Divided to 9-2 Win
Led by Joaquín Rodríguez, the D.C. Divided downed the Kingston Ponies, 9-2. Rodríguez went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Divided. D.C. pitcher Bill Joseph earned the win, hiking his record to 10-2. Edward Small suffered the loss. The third-place Divided have won 4 in a row.

Claudio Sánchez had a big 3-run home run for the Divided in the bottom of the fourth inning. With D.C. trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from Edward Small, who is tied for 8th in the 3L in complete games with 2, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 15th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Divided ahead, 4-2.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said D.C. skipper Jonathan Gerth.
