Dayton Rallies for 8-5 Win
Colorado got a terrific game from left fielder Juan Raspaldo. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Dayton, 8-5. Raspaldo was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Juan Rodríguez, who threw 108 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 7 hits. Picking up the save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Melis Ooyendijk.

Dayton used the timely hitting of Ray McConnell to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dirty Reds on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said McConnell. "And not try to do too much."

The setback makes Colorado 62-27.
