The Cape Coral Hurricanes beat the Charleston Battery, 4-3, at Factory of Sadness. Cape Coral catcher Don Clarke led the way. He was 4-4 with 4 singles. Cape Coral now sits at 42-47, while Charleston falls to 55-34.

The Battery had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Hurricanes going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old third baseman Jesús Casquete came to the plate. Casquete hit a 2-run double on a first pitch changeup from Charleston hurler Pham Phung. It was Casquete's 9th double of the year.
