The New Orleans Voodoo besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Buffalo third baseman Iverson Allen by beating the White Walkers, 4-2, at Beyond the Wall. Allen went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Jared Wilson nailed down his 20th save. The White Walkers, at 27-40, have lost 4 in a row.
New Orleans used the hitting of Rubén Vargas to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo on top, 3-1. For the game, Vargas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Vargas said after the game.
