Bullets Take Tight Tilt, 2-1
|
The Bullets grabbed a win, 2-1, at Baltimore Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Boston pitcher Nick Snyder. Snyder went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Eddie Daniel nailed down his 1st save. The Bullets raised their record to 33-34.
Baltimore catcher Arturo Prado contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 60th hit of the season and put the Bullets ahead, 2-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Prado said.
