Factory of Sadness was the site for Menard's Third League action featuring the Dayton Dirty Reds and Cape Coral Hurricanes.

In a low-scoring game between Cape Coral and Dayton, pitcher William Morris was excellent. The Cape Coral right-hander helped his team knock off the Dirty Reds, 3-0. Mark Smith earned his 12th save in 16 chances.

Morris scattered 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Hurricanes. With the win, Morris goes to 9-3 on the year with 87 strikeouts.

Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing called it "a pretty good win."
