Pauw, Oaks Too Much for Ponies

The Oakland Oaks grabbed a win, 7-2, over the Kingston Ponies at Megaffin Park. Oakland first baseman Gerben Pauw was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Oaks now own a record of 41-49.
The Oaks took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. Oakland was leading 3-2 when Nicholas Wilhelms hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Oaks in front, 4-2.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Kingston manager Rayzor Ray. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
