The Nova Scotia Leviathan picked up a win at Charleston Armory, taking down the Charleston Battery, 4-0. Starting pitcher Martín Cedeño was a big reason why. Cedeño picked up the win for Nova Scotia, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-8. Maxwell Security got the save, his 24th in 30 chances.
The Leviathan had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the eighth. The score was 3-0, Nova Scotia, with two out. Charleston, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Jeremy Blanchard dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch slider, he lined out.
The 11th-place Leviathan now sit at 37-53.
