Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Cape Coral Hurricanes and D.C. Divided.

The Cape Coral Hurricanes scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the D.C. Divided at Factory of Sadness. Cape Coral pitcher Lawrence Higgins held his own in the contest. Cape Coral is in 8th place in the Third League with a record of 42-48.

Cape Coral third baseman Alex Thomas landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. It was his 4th home run of the season. With it, the Hurricanes took a 3-0 lead.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Higgins. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
