Despite a great performance by Charleston second baseman Rolf Pauw, the Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Battery by the score of 10-9 at Charleston Armory. Pauw went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Alfredo Rincón, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 4-5. Don Williams finished to wrap up his 7th save.

Las Vegas relied on the hitting of Rafael Trujillo to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Flamingos on top, 3-0. For the game, Trujillo had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Trujillo.
