Vernon Farr was instrumental in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Nova Scotia Leviathan. The center fielder went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Charleston Battery. The win puts Charleston at 57-34 this season.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Farr hit a 3-run home run off Ron Gunther. It propelled the Battery into the lead, 3-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Farr said.
