The Dayton Dirty Reds picked up a win at Lang Park, knocking off the Panama City Piranhas, 4-2. Starting pitcher Eric Talley played a key role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Talley surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Steve King notched his 17th save in 22 chances.

The Dirty Reds got a big at-bat from shortstop Fernando Salinas. For the game, Salinas went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Dayton a 3-2 lead.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Talley.
