Valentín Spins Gem for Charleston

The Charleston Battery beat the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 3-1, at Charleston Armory. Starting pitcher Pablo Valentín was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Charleston is now 58-34. Nova Scotia is 46-46.
Valentín, a native of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Nova Scotia hitters off-balance, while giving the Battery 8 quality innings. Valentín threw 99 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Valentín.
