The Nova Scotia Leviathan, despite a fine performance by Cape Coral pitcher Diego Pounds, grabbed a 2-1 win at The Dungeon in Halifax. Pounds allowed 1 run over 8.2 innings. Nova Scotia reliever Maxwell Security picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. Pablo Jiménez took the loss. With the win, Nova Scotia goes to 38-54, while the Hurricanes fall to 43-49.

Nova Scotia got a game-changing hit from Quentin Zacagnini. The right fielder blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"We found a way to get it done," Zacagnini said.
