Stingers Send Toronto Home with 8-3 Loss
Toledo took on Toronto in front of a lively crowd.

Toledo beat Toronto on the strength of starting pitcher Tazz Jones's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-3. The 4th-place Stingers bumped their record to 38-30.

Had Olvido Doesburg not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Doesburg hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 6-3, in favor of the Stingers.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Jones.
