The home crowd had a good time watching the Cape Coral Hurricanes and Nova Scotia Leviathan get after it.
Though he had a terrific game, Dan Stoffel could not prevent his team, the Cape Coral Hurricanes, from absorbing a loss. Nova Scotia won the game, 7-4. Stoffel went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Nova Scotia goes to 39-54, Cape Coral to 43-50.
Kenneth Alexander, who finished 2nd in the 3L in triples with 6 last year, had an important at-bat. With two out in the bottom of the fourth, he hit a bases-clearing double. His 17th double of the season put Nova Scotia on top, 6-1.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Alexander said. "And the same is true when you lose."
