The Kingston Ponies downed the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 5-4, at Megaffin Park. David Vargas led the way, going 3-for-3 for Kingston. Anthon Arents got the win, improving to 4-6. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Fred Hull picked up his 21st save of the season.

Clifton Roberson went 1-3 for Kingston. The 32-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Lawrence Higgins. It was his 39th RBI of the season.
