New Orleans got a strong outing from John Mustard as the Voodoo defeated the Boston Patriots, 8-2, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Michael Wilson collected his 1st save. New Orleans sits at 3-4.

New Orleans used the timely hitting of Chris Veeck to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
