|
The Mexico City Blue Demons withstood a fine game by Buffalo right fielder Tyler Adams at Beyond the Wall, to upend the White Walkers, 6-4. Adams went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Tom Johnston, the winner, is now 1-0. He struck out 6 and walked 1 over 8 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. Stanley Thompson collected his 2nd save.
Mexico City used the hitting of Joe Raymond to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Demons on top, 6-2. For the game, Raymond had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Raymond.
Mexico City goes to 5-2 with the win.
