Boston starter Jesús Ramírez put a stranglehold on the Philadelphia offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Patriots to a 5-0 win. Ramírez picked up the win for Boston, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The win puts Boston at 5-2.

Vincent Green had a big 2-run double for the Patriots in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Martin and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Patriots ahead, 3-0.
