Rey Pops Two Homers in 7-1 Win for Buffalo
|
The Buffalo White Walkers trumped the Hollywood Shredders, 7-1, at The Hollywood Bowl. Buffalo designated hitter Emílio Rey was terrific. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Howard Randolph, the winner, goes to 2-3. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts over 5.1 innings. The 7th-place White Walkers have a record of 32-36.
Rey made an early impact for Buffalo when he stroked his 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the second, put the White Walkers on top, 6-1.
Rey called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
