Long Island starter Jeff Tate pitched well against the Charleston Battery at The Lighthouse. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. The last-place Battery have lost 5 consecutive games.

Long Island got a big at-bat from Charlotte Amalie, Virgin Islands native Theo Belcher, who in the bottom of the third hit a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Lighthouse ahead, 5-0.
