Dayton Gets 6-2 Win Against Hurricanes
Dayton beat Cape Coral on the strength of starting pitcher Daryl Crawford's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-2. Crawford, who finished 3rd in the 3L in ERA with 2.38 last year, went the distance for Dayton. He gave up 2 runs on 10 hits. The Dirty Reds have an impressive 62-37 record.

Dayton third baseman Fernando Mezzatesta helped the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Mezzatesta was 1 for 4.
