Long Island Wins, 6-5, in Extra Innings

The Lighthouse earned a hard-fought, 6-5 win in 11 innings at The Lighthouse. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Dayton pitcher Ioachime Yakutin. Yakutin went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win belonged to Raúl Abreu in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Daryl Crawford took the loss for Dayton. Long Island has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
The Lighthouse got a clutch hit from right fielder Donovan Phillips. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lighthouse.
"This house was rockin'," Phillips said.
