No one was more impactful than Brett Taylor in the 7-4 Oakland win over Charleston. Taylor, who is on pace for 73 RBI this season, went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Spencer McCarthy, the winner, is now 11-2. He struck out 7 and walked 2 over 6 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The first-place Oaks, at 65-35, now lead their division by 3 games.

Jorge Morales had a big 2-run double for the Oaks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Oakland leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 32-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremiah Cole and swatted a double to right. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Oaks ahead, 5-2.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Taylor.
