The D.C. Divided locked up a win at Washington Stadium, knocking off the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 9-3. On the mound for D.C. was right-hander Jeremy Robinson. He played a major role in the triumph. Robinson got the win, improving to 12-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 4 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Nova Scotia's current losing streak is now 4 games.
In the bottom of the second, D.C. shortstop Neil Pippy had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Pippy stroked a 2-run single to right-center. It made the score 5-0, D.C.. For the game, he went 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Jeremy had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth.
