Lakers Lose to Bowties, 2-0
|
Buckhead starter José Ramos had a strong outing against the Echo Park Lakers at 5 Paces Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. Walt Gould was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 28 save opportunities. The win elevated the Bowties to 50-50.
The Bowties got a big at-bat from first baseman Christian Kessler. For the game, Kessler went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Buckhead a 2-0 lead.
Ramos called the triumph "a good team win."
