Buckhead Loses Again, 3-1

The Buckhead Bowties extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Charleston Battery.
The Charleston Battery beat the Buckhead Bowties, 3-1. Charleston pitcher and Rapid City, South Dakota, native Rush Moore led the way. Now 41-60, Buckhead has dropped 11 games in a row.
Charleston used a clutch hit from Vernon Farr to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Battery ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
Charleston manager Matt Hunt commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
