The Vancouver Grey Wolves welcomed the St. Louis Coeur to an afternoon game at The BFIB.

The Vancouver Grey Wolves knocked off the St. Louis Coeur, 8-3, at The BFIB. Efren Alog hit 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Pat Butler, the winning pitcher, improved to 15-2. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3.

With Vancouver leading 5-3 in the top of the eighth, Alog batted against St. Louis pitcher Eric Truax. Alog hit a fastball to right-center for a 2-run double. His 42nd double of the season put the Grey Wolves on top, 7-3.

Vancouver manager David Krause was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.

Vancouver is in second place in the Third League with a record of 65-37.
