Charleston Battery starter Pham Phung worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 2-0. The winner was Charleston reliever Wesley Perkins, now 4-2. The loser was Erich Alfaro. The Battery now have a mark of 49-53.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Rich Lee in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Erich Alfaro to win it for Charleston and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Lee.
